Find Your Size

Before you buy. Once your download arrives, your Print Guide takes it from there.

Every painting in the studio comes in 10 sizes. Some come in 7 sizes. Picking one takes three questions.

A note on shape: when the art is landscape or wide. An 8 × 10 print is 10 inches wide and 8 inches tall. Each file carries a soft paper border that works like a mat, so a simple frame is enough.

1. Where will it hang?

The spot File Size: Start With Landscape (wide × tall)
Desk, shelf, or nightstand 8 × 10 10 × 8 in
Bedroom or hallway 11 × 14 14 × 11 in
Over a dresser or console 16 × 20 20 × 16 in
Above a bed 16 × 24 24 × 16 in
Living room wall 18 × 24 24 × 18 in
Above a sofa 24 × 36 36 × 24 in
Gallery wall or square frame 12 × 12 12 × 12 in
Outside the US A4 or A3 International paper sizes
Art mode TV or digital frame TV 16:9 3840 × 2160 pixels (4K)

Try it on the wall first. Mark the size with painter's tape or a sheet of paper and live with it for a day. If it looks small, go one size up.

Over furniture, many decorators use a simple rule: the art should be about two-thirds the width of the piece below it. For a long sofa, choose 24 × 36, or hang two prints side by side.

2. One size, or all of them?

  • One size when you know the spot and the frame.
  • The Collection when you are torn between two sizes, want the art in more than one room, or may move it later. It holds every size, so you can decide after.

3. Print it yourself, or buy it ready to hang?

After you buy

Your download arrives as one zip file: your size as a JPG and a print-ready PDF, plus Your Print Guide, which shows how to open the files, print at home or at a shop, and frame. Every file is set at 300 DPI in sRGB, the color standard that printers and photo labs expect.

A download is for your own home. Hanging the art in a business, rental, or office? That calls for a Business Display License.
